Securitas, the intelligent security solutions partner combining world-leading technology and expertise, has joined the European Commission’s AI Pact, reinforcing its commitment to the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The AI Pact is a voluntary framework designed to help organisations prepare for compliance with the European Union’s AI Act, which regulates AI systems according to their potential level of risk. The AI Act entered into force in August 2024 and will be implemented in phases over the next three years.

The EU AI Pact encourages participating organisations to voluntarily commit to three core actions: implementing an AI governance strategy to support AI adoption and prepare for compliance with the AI Act; mapping AI systems that may be classified as high risk; and promoting AI literacy and awareness among employees to ensure the ethical and responsible development of AI. Establishing these practices enables organisations to build a strong foundation for the ethical integration of AI within their operations.
